At the Third International Conference on Taxation on 11-12 June 2009, a meeting of European financial and accountancy experts will be held once again in Budapest.On the first day, under the title of 'Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Focus', those issues having the greatest impact on businesses will be reviewed, in terms of the sector affected most acutely by the economic crisis. Participants can also become acquainted European countries' responses to the crisis.
Experts from thirteen European countries and from the EFAA (European Federation of Accountants and Auditors), which focuses on small and medium enterprises, will help to make the right diagnosis and introduce possible therapies. The presentations will also include an overview of the recent changes in European countries' taxation systems.
On the second day of the conference, we are going to concentrate on double taxation treaties, an area of international taxation issues which has become increasing important due to globalization; theoretical, practical and tax planning issues arising from the treaties will be covered. During private roundtable discussions, there will be an opportunity for leading professional organizations from the Central European region to become acquainted with the activities of the EFAA.
For both days of the event, we have invited prestigious speakers who will illuminate the issues covered from an international perspective. The languages of the conference are English and Hungarian.
